About Kunming Nie Er's Former Residence

Kunming Nie Er's former residence is located at No. 37 Yongdao Street, Huguo Street, Wuhua District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It was built in the 10th year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1884). It is the birthplace of the Chinese proletarian revolutionary musician Nie Er. Nie Er's former residence in Kunming is a traditional Indian-style residential building in Kunming. The interior is a two-story building with a bucket-style wooden frame. The building faces east and west. The original building was two rooms wide and two rooms deep. The shop on the ground floor was originally the Chinese medicine store of Nie Er's parents. During the Republic of China, part of the building facing the street was demolished. There are two shops now, and a total of four rooms upstairs and downstairs.
