About Kunming Radio Station Former Site
The former site of Kunming Radio Station is the only fully preserved radio facility site from the Anti-Japanese War era in China. It was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Kunming in 2014, and was listed as the sixth batch of municipal cultural relic protection units in Kunming in 2016. The station was founded in 1940, and its full name is "Kunming Radio Station of the Central Broadcasting Administration Office". It was the most powerful radio station during the Anti-Japanese War and was responsible for anti-Japanese war propaganda and international broadcasting tasks. The cultural relics department has started to collect historical materials and prepare a restoration plan, and plans to apply for provincial-level cultural relics protection units and incorporate it into the Anti-Japanese War special museum system. "Hui Lou Cultural and Creative Center" was established here.
