About Zhangye City Museum

Zhangye Museum is located in the southern section of Xianfu Street, Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, adjacent to the Cultural Square of the Dafo Temple. Together with the library and cultural center, it is collectively known as the "Three Museums". It is a modern comprehensive intelligent building. The museum was established in January 1987. The new museum was officially opened on December 22, 2017, with a construction area of 11,000 square meters, four floors above ground and two floors underground. The opening hours are from 8:30 to 17:30 every Tuesday to Sunday. There may be temporary adjustments during holidays. The museum has more than 11,000 historical relics in its collection, covering prehistory to the Qing Dynasty, with general history exhibitions and special exhibitions.
