About Lin Baishui's Former Residence
Lin Baishui's former residence is located at No. 9 Luomashi Street, Xicheng District, Beijing (formerly No. 1 Mianmian Toutiao). It has a two-in courtyard layout, facing south, with gray bricks and black tiles, with a total area of about 365 square meters. The original site was demolished in 2002 due to the construction of the Netcom Building. It was rebuilt at the current site in 2005 according to its original appearance. In 1990, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Xicheng District (formerly Xuanwu District). The front yard was once the site of "Social Daily" and the backyard was Lin Baishui's residence. The existing buildings include traditional building components such as the main room, side rooms and doorways. Lin Baishui (1874-1926), formerly known as Lin Wanli, was a native of Minhou, Fujian.
