About Wuhan University History Museum
The History Museum of Wuhan University is located in the old library on the top of Lion Mountain. It was transformed from the original National Wuhan University Library built in 1935. The exhibition hall is based on the theme of "roots, souls and dreams" and is divided into three exhibition areas: "Century of Glory", "Bright Stars" and "Huazhang Rising". Through more than 1,300 historical pictures, more than 600 archival cultural relics and multimedia equipment, the 130-year history of the Hubei Ziqiang School from 1893 to the present is systematically presented. The collection contains precious historical materials such as the national first-class cultural relics "National Wuhan University Demarcation Site Boundary Stele" and Li Siguang's seal. After the upgrade in 2023, a special exhibition hall for "Century Chapters" will be added.
