About Chinese National Museum of Ethnology
The Museum of Chinese Ethnology is the only national ethnic museum in China. Its function is positioned as a collection of the splendid cultures of China's 56 ethnic groups, reflecting the history of unity and common prosperity and development of all ethnic groups. It integrates collection, display, research, service, education, foreign exchange and other functions. It is a collection center of China's national tangible and intangible cultural heritage; a display center of ethnic politics, economy, culture and social life; a research center of ethnic history and culture; an ethnic information consultation and service center; a base for ethnic knowledge, ethnic policies, patriotism education and dissemination; and a window for foreign cultural exchanges.
