About Sanya Shanhai Shell Culture Museum
Sanya Mountain and Seashell Culture Museum is the second special museum dedicated to Tridacna cultural relics in the world. It is located at No. 680 Yuya Road, Jiyang District, Sanya City, Hainan Province. The museum was established by Zhou Yunxiang after 30 years of collecting and investing heavily. It has a collection of more than 5,000 pieces (sets) of Tridacna cultural relics and shell specimens since the Neolithic Age, including more than 2,300 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, more than 2,400 shell specimens, and 30 modern handicrafts. The museum has a permanent exhibition called "Beautiful China - Tridacna Culture Exhibition", and occasionally holds temporary exhibitions such as "Han Mo Danqing - Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of Modern Famous Masters" and "Red Memory - The Era in Stamps" special exhibition.
