About Jiaxing Ship Culture Museum
Jiaxing Boat Culture Museum is located at No. 278 Zhayan Road, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of 11 acres, with a main building of 8,000 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 1,800 square meters. It is the first professional museum in China that displays boat culture. The museum was rebuilt by the Jiaxing Port and Shipping Management Service Center using an old dock. The building looks like a giant ship setting sail. The basic display is divided into four exhibition halls: "History of Boats and Ships", "Ship Charm of Water Town", "Ship Technology" and "World of Famous Ships". It displays 128 ancient and modern Chinese and foreign ship models and various types of ship equipment and cultural relics. Free and open. In 2019, it was awarded the title of "Worker Pioneer" in Jiaxing City.
