About Central China Normal University Museum
The Central China Normal University Museum is located on Guizi Mountain on the shore of South Lake in Wuchang. It was planned and built in 1952 by the master of Chinese studies Qian Jibo and completed on April 6, 1953. It was originally the History Museum of Central China Normal University and was renamed in 2018. The museum has accumulated a collection of more than 3,000 sets and nearly 20,000 pieces of cultural relics, including more than 300 national-grade cultural relics. The new museum will open in 2022, with a construction area of about 3,600 square meters and three permanent exhibition halls: the Artifact Collection Hall, the Qian Jibo Donation Hall, and the Calligraphy and Painting Collection Hall. In August 2024, the museum was rated as a national third-level museum.
