About Prince Chun Mansion

Prince Chun's Mansion, also known as the "Prince Regent's Mansion", is located at No. 44, North Shore of Houhai, Xicheng District, Beijing. It was formerly the residence of Mingzhu, a scholar of Wuyingdian University in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. It was given to Yongxuan in the fourth year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1799) and was called the Prince Cheng's Palace. Puyi, Emperor Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty, was born in this mansion. In the first year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty (1909), Zaifeng was named the regent of the country, also known as the regent's palace. The current part of the mansion is the State Administration of Religious Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and the garden part is the former residence of Soong Ching Ling in Beijing.
