About Dali Museum

Dali City Museum is located at No. 111 Fuxing Road, Dali Ancient Town, Dali City, Yunnan Province. It covers an area of 16,133.54 square meters, a total construction area of 2,656 square meters, and a total exhibition hall area of 1,170 square meters. It is a local comprehensive museum. In the second year of Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1663), it was built as the Yunnan Admiral's Yamen. In the 11th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1872), it was restored to the Admiral's Palace after the failure of the uprising. After the Revolution of 1911, he successively returned to the headquarters of Tengda University, Chuda University and the West Yunnan Division. After liberation, it was handed over to the 14th Army of the People's Liberation Army and built as a kindergarten. On May 18, 2009, it was officially opened to the public free of charge.
