About National Zoological Museum of China
National Zoological Museum of China), also known as the Specimen Exhibition Hall of the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is located at No. 5, No. 1, Beichen West Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It was formerly known as the Beiping Biological Survey Institute established in the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928). The Specimen Exhibition Hall of the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences was established in 1957. It was officially opened to the public on May 17, 2009. It is affiliated to the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is a national academic institution integrating scientific research, specimen collection and science popularization. The opening hours during the off-season (September 1st to April 30th of the following year) are 9:00-16:30 (closed on Mondays).
