About Mei LanFang Memorial Museum
Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall Museum), located at No. 9 Huguosi Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, is a typical Beijing courtyard house. It was originally the stables of Prince Yi of Qing Dynasty in the late Qing Dynasty. It was later renovated into a residence and covers an area of more than 700 square meters. Mei Lanfang lived here from 1951 to 1961. On October 27, 1986, Mei Lanfang’s former residence was changed to Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall and officially opened to the public. The main courtyard of Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall preserves the original appearance of his former residence, and all the furnishings in the living room, study room, bedroom and living room are displayed according to the original condition of Mei Lanfang's life during his lifetime. The east and west exhibition rooms are special exhibitions, and the exhibition content is updated from time to time.
