About Yan Family courtyard

The Yan Family Courtyard is located in Xizhou Ancient Town, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It was built in 1907 as the residence of Yan Zizhen, a Yunnan businessman. In 2001, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. The building complex consists of a Chinese-style four-entry courtyard and a Western-style western-style building. It has the traditional Bai nationality layout of "three squares and one screen wall" and "four in five patios". The screen walls are inlaid with marble landscape paintings, and the main courtyard is equipped with carved marble floors and exotic marble collections. The functional divisions of the courtyard are clear.
