About wuhan museum
Wuhan Museum is located at No. 373 Qingnian Road, Jianghan District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, 300 meters west of Hankou Railway Station. The total construction area is 17,834 square meters, the display area is 6,000 square meters, and the warehouse area is 4,000 square meters. Wuhan Museum was originally named Wuhan Municipal Museum. It started preparations for construction in July 1984 and was officially established in November 1986. The original office of the museum was in the Memorial Hall of the former site of the Wuchang Peasant Movement Training Center. After it was officially established, it was affiliated to the Wuhan Municipal Cultural Relics Management Office. The new Wuhan Municipal Museum was completed at the end of 2000 and officially opened to the public on October 1, 2001.
