About CHINA NUMISMATIC MUSEUM 2

The Chinese Numismatic Museum is located at No. 17, Xijiaomin Lane, Xicheng District, Beijing. The total area is 1800 square meters, and the exhibition hall area is 1100 square meters. The architectural layout of the museum is like a "round coin with a square hole", with a central hall and four exhibition halls. It is a national-level numismatic museum directly under the headquarters of the People's Bank of China. In 1990, preparations for the China Numismatic Museum began. On July 29, 1992, the museum officially opened. As of the end of 2022, the China Numismatic Museum has a collection of 219,411 pieces (sets), with a total annual audience of 35,000. On June 19, 2021, the China Numismatic Museum was named the "National Patriotism Education Demonstration Base" by the Central Propaganda Department.
