About Guizhou Provincial Museum
The Guizhou Provincial Museum is a national first-class museum, a comprehensive museum, and a division-level public institution affiliated to the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Located on the north side of the middle section of Lincheng East Road, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City, the project was initiated in 2007 and construction started in 2010. It was relocated and constructed on June 28, 2013. It was opened to the public for trial operation in early 2015. The new museum was fully opened on September 30, 2017. It covers an area of 70,860 square meters and has a total construction area of 46,450 square meters. The building is divided into three parts: the central part, the eastern part and the western part. The Guizhou Provincial Museum has a total collection of more than 80,000 items.
