About Guangxi Numismatic Museum

Guangxi Numismatic Museum is an industry museum affiliated to the Nanning Central Branch of the People's Bank of China. It is located at No. 39 Taoyuan Road, Qingxiu District, Nanning City. It was established in June 2004 with the approval of the People's Bank of China. The museum has a construction area of about 1,000 square meters and has three basic exhibition halls: Chinese historical currency, Guangxi historical currency, and Southeast Asian historical currency. The museum has nearly 40,000 pieces of historical currency in its collection and more than 10,000 pieces on display. It co-locates with the Guangxi Numismatic Society and is responsible for the functions of monetary culture promotion, anti-counterfeiting education and social science popularization. In 2011, it jointly established a science popularization base with the Social Science Federation of the Autonomous Region.
