About Former site of He Long Headquarters

The former site of He Long Headquarters is located at No. 165 Zigu Road, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. The former site of He Long's headquarters was originally the Hongdao Hall of the Chinese Anglican Church and the Hongdao Middle School building. In late July 1927, it was selected as the headquarters of the 20th Army of the Nanchang Uprising Force. The building complex includes the auditorium of the main building, the chapel on the second floor and the office building at the back. During the uprising, He Long held an officer meeting here to deploy combat tasks and directly commanded the battle against the enemy's headquarters. The existing building retains the remains of bullet marks on the third-floor windows, and houses a restored display of the officers' conference room and the "Life Exhibition of Marshal He Long.
