About West Bund Orbit
West Bund Center, also known as Orbit, is a public exhibition hall and cultural space located at 3299 Binjiang Longteng Avenue, Xuhui District, Shanghai, China. The building was designed by Heatherwick Studio, and Yu Ting, the architect in charge of Wutopia Lab, is responsible for the interior design. It will be officially completed in October 2023. Its facade is designed with a flowing "track" or "ribbon" shape, inspired by the traditional Chinese moon bridge. The interior design is based on the theme of "Vortex Upstream", with a total construction area of approximately 5,500 square meters. The West Bund Center is the first public art building in Hong Kong Land West Bund Financial City, aiming to create a "public art waterfront". The building is equipped with multi-functional exhibition halls, roof gardens and other spaces.
