About Yuz Museum
Yuz Museum is a non-profit contemporary art museum located in Shanghai. It was founded in 2014 by Mr. Yuz, an Indonesian Chinese entrepreneur and collector. The art museum was originally located on the west bank of Xuhui, transformed from the original Longhua Airport hangar; it will be moved to Panlong Tiandi in Qingpu District in May 2023. The new museum building combines the characteristics of Jiangnan traditional dwellings with modern design, and is dedicated to exhibitions, collections and public education. Its core collection focuses on Chinese contemporary art and large-scale installations from the 1980s and 1990s, and has held internationally influential exhibitions such as "Giacometti Retrospective" and "Rain Room". In 2024, the museum was selected into the first batch of star-rated art museums in Shanghai.
