About Pala Manor
Pala Manor, whose full name is Pajor Lhakhang, is located in Banjor Lunbu Village, Gyantse County, Shigatse Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is the main estate of the Pala family, a noble family in Tibet. Pala Manor is the only well-preserved aristocratic manor in Tibet, and its buildings and properties have basically remained original. The main body of the manor is a three-story courtyard building with a total area of approximately 47,234 square meters. The manor has a sutra hall, a large exhibition hall, a family history hall, a reception room, a lady's bedroom and other exhibition halls, as well as a special hall for the owner to play mahjong. The room is richly decorated with carved beams and paintings. The sutra hall is elegantly furnished, and the sutras and Buddhist niches are well preserved; the bedrooms are filled with gold, silver, and jade articles.
