About Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall
The Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall is located in Linjiang Park, No. 1 Youyi Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai (the main battlefield in Baoshan where the Shanghai navy and civilians fought bloody wars in the past). In March 1999, in order to remember the two Songhu Battles, the January 28th Songhu Anti-Japanese War in 1932, and the August 13th Songhu Battle in 1937) and the 14-year history of the Shanghai people's anti-Japanese struggle, the construction of the memorial hall started. It was completed and opened to the public on January 28, 2000. The Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall adopts the architectural style of combining a tower and a pavilion, with a construction area of nearly 10,000 square meters, an exhibition hall area of nearly 6,000 square meters, and an outdoor display area of nearly 8,000 square meters.
