About Maofengshan Forest Park

Maofengshan Forest Park is a forest park located in the northeast of Guangzhou City, starting from Huakeng in the north, Luobu Cave in the south, Shatin in the east, and Toupi in the west, with an area of approximately 30 square kilometers. The park was founded in 1997 and was approved as a provincial forest park by the Provincial Forestry Bureau in 2001. Maofeng Mountain is named Maofeng Mountain because of its steep mountains, deep valleys and lush forests. Especially after morning and evening rains, the peaks appear looming among the clouds and mist, like wearing a big snow-white hat. Its main peak, Lanyue Peak, is 534.9 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in Guangzhou. The scenic area consists of 7 areas, including Toubi Area, Causeway Bay Area, Maofengshan Area, Hechangling Area, Chatouwo Area, Keshu'ao Area and Shaluotan Area.
