About Jinxiancang Historical and Cultural District

Jinxiancang Historical and Cultural Block is a provincial-level historical and cultural block located in Xihu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It was announced as one of the first batch of provincial-level historical and cultural blocks in Jiangxi Province on February 28, 2015. Its name comes from the chaff ash warehouse built here by farmers in Jinxian County in the mid-Ming Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it developed into a water transport terminal and an important transportation hub due to its proximity to the Fu River. The neighborhood is mainly composed of Jinxiancang Street, Litouzui Lane, Dizang'an Lane, Hecao Street and Nanchangcang Street, which embodies the wharf culture and business culture. Within the planning scope, there are 4 registered immovable cultural relics, 5 recommended historical buildings and 62 traditional buildings.
