About Guangzhou Museum of Art
The Guangzhou Art Museum (Guangzhou Art Museum) was formerly the Guangzhou Art Museum established in 1957. It was originally located at the former site of the Zhongyuan Library in Yuexiu Mountain. In 2000, the original Guangzhou Art Museum, developed from the Guangzhou Art Museum, was built and opened on the shore of Luhu Lake. It was designed by Mo Bozhi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. On November 30, 2023, the new building located at No. 198 Yiyuan Road, Haizhu District was officially opened. It covers an area of more than 30,000 square meters, with a total construction area of nearly 80,000 square meters, a floor height of 8 meters to 19.5 meters, and an exhibition length of about 2,600 meters. The building is themed "Heroic Flowers Blooming in the Water", highlighting the Lingnan style and Guangzhou regional characteristics.
