About Shenzhen Art Museum (New Museum)
Shenzhen Art Museum (new building) was jointly designed by KSP Jürgen Engel Architects and Zhubo Design Office. The building area is 66,000 square meters, the exhibition hall area is 20,000 square meters, the semi-outdoor sculpture exhibition area is 3,900 square meters, and there are 18 art exhibition halls. It is equipped with multi-functional supporting service spaces such as collection painting library, academic lecture hall, art library, public education activity space, art restaurant, cultural and creative product exhibition and sales space, and underground parking lot. The museum takes "based on Shenzhen, facing the world, based on the times, facing the future" as its academic direction, and "focused on Shenzhen, focusing on the city" as its orientation. On November 6, 2023, Shenzhen Art Museum (new museum) officially opened.
