About Nanning Daming Mountain

Daming Mountain was established as a state-owned forest farm in 1958, later converted into a regional-level water source forest reserve in 1981. In 2002, it was upgraded to a national-level nature reserve with the approval of the State Council, and its administrative body was renamed the Guangxi Daming Mountain National Nature Reserve Administration. In 2004, it was placed under the administration of Nanning City, and in 2005, the Nanning Daming Mountain Scenic Tourism Zone Management Committee was established, adopting a management system that operates with a single set of personnel and two separate brand identities, in coordination with the Daming Mountain Administration.
