About Qu Yuan’s Hometown Scenic Area
Qu Yuan’s Hometown Scenic Area is the Qu Yuan’s Hometown Ecological Culture Tourism Scenic Area. Located in the new county seat of Zigui County, it is adjacent to the Three Gorges Dam and sits just 600 meters in a straight line away. Covering an area of approximately 500 mu, it offers breathtaking views of the high gorges and flat lakes. It also houses 24 major underground cultural relics along the gorge and river, represented by the Qu Yuan Temple and the Jiangdu Temple, which were relocated here. In May 2006, it was designated by the State Council as one of the sixth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
