About Ancient town of Dukezong 2

The Ancient town of Dukezong is located in the central part of Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located in Jiantang Town, Zhongdian Basin. It is an important town and garrison in the history of Shangri-La (Jiedi, Jietang, Zhongdian), and is also an important station on the Yunnan-Tibet section of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Dukezong Ancient City is centered on Dagui Mountain and spreads out in a radial layout, covering an area of 1.5 square kilometers. "Duke Zong" is an ancient Tibetan place name, also known as "Zong Raodangabo" and "Davi Zong", which means "Moonlight City". Facing the "Sunlight City" where the sun rises earliest, the "Niwang Zong" located on the bank of the Naizi River, the sun and the moon shine together, and it is called the "sun and moon in the heart".
