About Guangzhou Shennong Thatched Cottage Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Guangzhou Shennong Cottage Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum is located at No. 389 Shatai North Road, Baiyun District, Guangzhou City. It covers an area of 25,300 square meters and was built in 2006. In response to Guangdong Province’s efforts to build a province with traditional Chinese medicine culture, it was founded with self-raised funds by Guangzhou Baiyunshan Hutchison Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group. It is a national publicity and education base for traditional Chinese medicine culture, a national popular science education base, a national 4A-level scenic spot, and a comprehensive special museum on the traditional Chinese medicine industry. On May 14, 2006, construction began. On November 30, 2006, it was officially completed and opened to the public. As of the end of 2019, there are 1,287 pieces (sets) in the collection.
