About The former site of Wuhe Second Society
The former site of Wuhe Second Society is located in Tonghe Village, Daze Town, Xinhui District, Jiangmen City. It is a cultural relic protection unit at the Jiangmen Municipal level. It is the place where Premier Zhou Enlai held a symposium with cadres and the masses when he inspected Wuhe Second Society. It was built in the early days of the Republic of China and became the office space of the Wuhe Second Society Social Committee in the 1950s. It is a typical Hakka residence. In July 1958, Premier Zhou Enlai visited Tonghe for an inspection, during which he held a symposium for cadres and the masses at the Wuhe Second Social Committee. The old site of Wuhe No. 2 Society has been upgraded and renovated, and a selection of photos, inscriptions and objects related to Premier Zhou's inspection that year were displayed.
