About Wolong stone
Wolong Stone is a natural boulder located at the western foot of Yuntai Mountain in Laiwu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is named after its dragon-like shape. The stone is about several feet long and has a crack in the middle. There are local legends related to Wu Zixu. It is said that when Wu Zixu was escorting Ma Niangniang, he cracked this stone with a whip. Another theory is that this stone was transformed by the third prince of the Dragon King of the East China Sea, and was whipped open by Wu Zixu who was passing by here in 528 BC. The dragon prince fled in pain, and was later reincarnated as Ying Zheng (Qin Shihuang) in 250 BC.
