About Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street
Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street (English name: Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, alias: Xiguan Shopping Mall) is located in the south of Liwan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province (this is the old town of Guangzhou, commonly known as Xiguan). It starts from Shangxiajiu Road in the east and ends at Shishifuxi in the west. It crosses Baohua Road and Wenchang Road, with a total length of about 1,237 meters. It is one of the three traditional prosperous commercial centers in Guangzhou. The neighborhood is marked by the Xiguan arcade building complex, with 373 shops and more than 5,000 merchants, covering about 2.5 square kilometers. It has derived markets such as Guangfu South Road Cloth Market and Qingping Chinese Medicine Market, and has gathered time-honored catering brands such as Taotaoju and Guangzhou Restaurant.
