About Mingchun Valley

Mingchun Valley is an attraction located next to the "Tiannan First Peak" in Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It was built and opened in 1989. Its name comes from the literary meaning of "Singing Birds in Spring" in Han Yu's "Sending Meng Dongye Preface" in the Tang Dynasty. The core of the scenic spot is a large natural birdcage, covering an area of about 50,000 square meters. There are more than 150 species and thousands of birds in the park, including red-crowned cranes, swans, and white pheasants. There are rare bird viewing areas and bird performance areas where visitors can watch birds up close. In 2023, the scenic spot was upgraded to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Linshang Shanshui Bird Garden, with six new functional areas including nature education and popular science research. It was rated as a national nature education base.
