Pinghe Dabao is located at No. 1, Junhexu 1st Street, Junhexu Historical Street, Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It was built in 1917 and was funded by 30,000 taels of silver by local wealthy businessmen Huang Runhe, Li Luozong, and Yuan Ziwen. It was built using 180,000 green bricks and covers an area of 1,003.38 square meters. The main building includes the front hall, warehouse and north and south side courtyards. It is one of the relatively complete and large-scale pawnshop building sites in Guangdong Province. The front hall of the building is equipped with a 1.8-meter-high counter and a shy board. The warehouse is 26.68 meters high and is in the shape of a bunker. The exterior wall adopts a double-layer hollow quicksand design. The four walls are equipped with 106 small windows that are wide inside and narrow outside.
