About Jinjiang Lou

Jinjiang Building is located in Jinjiang Natural Village, Jindong Village, Shentu Town, Zhangpu County, Fujian Province. It is a corridor-style circular earth building with three circles, high inside and low outside, with a total construction area of 3,000 square meters. The building was first built in the fifty-sixth year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1791). Lin Shengze started to build the inner circle. His wife Li Can continued to build the middle circle in the eighth year of Jiaqing (1803), and later generations built the outer circle. The entire building has a pyramid-shaped appearance and has defensive functions such as fire prevention, theft prevention, and waterlogging prevention. In 2006, it was announced as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
