About Thames Town

Thames Town is located at Lane 900, Sanxin North Road, Fangsong Street, Songjiang District, Shanghai. It covers an area of about 100 hectares and has a construction area of 50 hectares. It is a comprehensive residential community and leisure tourist attraction integrating residence, commerce, tourism and leisure. Thames Town is divided into three parts: the old city area, the new town center area, and the riverside area. The main street with a total length of about 809 meters connects the public squares, tourist attractions, commercial streets, etc. in the core area. In November 2001, Thames Town was designed by the British company Atkins. On October 20, 2002, construction of Thames Town started. On October 20, 2006, Thames Town opened to the public. On January 27, 2022, Thames Town participated in the creation of Songjiang District’s characteristic commercial district.
