About Garden of the Twelve Friends
"Twelve Friends Land" is an attraction located in the Garden of Imagination theme park in Shanghai Disneyland. The centerpiece of the attraction, a world first at Shanghai Disneyland, is twelve large-scale mosaic murals vividly depicting traditional Chinese zodiac animals reinterpreted by Disney and Disney·Pixar animation stars. Each mural is 2-2.5 meters wide and about 2 meters high, and consists of 10,000-20,000 hand-cut mosaics. During certain festivals such as the Lunar New Year, the “Twelve Friends Garden” will transform into a New Year-themed “Wishing Garden.” For example, in the Year of the Horse, the zodiac mural will be refreshed and a wishing wall will be set up for visitors to hang their wishes; in the Year of the Snake, the animated character Gary will be decorated in front of the mural symbolizing the Year of the Snake.
