About Lover's lake

Lover's Lake (formerly known as Wuyi Pi) is located in the Dawulun Mountains in the western suburbs of Keelung City, Taiwan Province, China. It is formed by the collection of six mountain streams. It is the only highland lake in Keelung City and ranks among the top ten natural lakes in Taiwan. The lake is bifurcated in a Y-shape, and its shores are twists and turns. It is surrounded by dense forests and clear water. There are facilities such as trails around the lake, viewing pavilions, suspension bridges, and bird-watching pavilions. The hiking trail can connect to the Dawulun Fort, which was built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. You can overlook the scenery of Keelung Island and the north coast. The Lake District is famous as a date spot for couples, and there is a folk legend that walking across the suspension bridge together can lead to a happy marriage.
