About Oriental Hotel

Beijing Oriental Hotel is China's first private new high-end hotel. It is located at No. 11 Wanming Road, Xicheng District, Beijing. It was founded on February 19, 1918 and is now managed by Beijing Capital Tourism Group. The hotel consists of the main building built in 1918, the southeast building built in 1953, and the high-rise building built in 1985. It has a total of 288 guest rooms. It combines the style of a European garden and a Chinese-style Western-style building. It is equipped with celebrity-themed rooms and an old house 1918 cafe and other special facilities. The hotel was built on the ruins of Wanming Temple in the Ming Dynasty. During the construction in 2005, the remains of the pillar foundation of Wanming Temple were discovered. In 2009, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Xicheng District. The hotel was registered and established on August 8, 1917.
