About Fuzhou Garden

Fuzhou Garden is a Chinese-style garden park in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, covering an area of 8,500 square meters. The park was built to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of sister cities between Fuzhou City and Naha City. The Naha City Government invested 900 million yen in its construction. Fuzhou City provided design guidance and used Fuzhou building materials. It was officially completed in 1992. On July 8, 2022, the Fuzhou Garden reopened after more than a year of renovation, and its management and operation will be taken over by the Okinawa Overseas Chinese Association of Japan. The name of the garden was inscribed by the famous writer Bing Xin and written by the calligrapher Chen Fenwu. In August 2024, the Fujian Provincial delegation visited Fuzhou Park when they visited Japan.
