About Bai Gongguan
Bai Gongguan is located at the foothills of Gele Mountain in Shapingba District, Chongqing. It was originally the suburban villa of Sichuan warlord Bai Ju. Because Bai Ju claimed to be a descendant of Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, he named his villa "Xiangshan Villa" using the first two characters of the poet's name "Xiangshan Jushi". The people nearby are accustomed to calling it "White Mansion" according to local customs. Bai Mansion covers an area of 3,000 square meters and has a construction area of 1,130 square meters. The main building has 10 rooms on the first and second floors, 5 rooms in the auxiliary building, and a total of 16 rooms in the torture cave.
