About Ganxi forest park
Ganxi Forest Park is located in the southwest of Guiding County, Guizhou Province. It was formerly known as Ganxi Forest Farm established in 1958. It was awarded the title of Provincial Forest Park in 2011 and the title of "National Ecological Civilization Education Base" in 2014. In January 2015, it was upgraded to a national forest park. The total planned area is 2,277.74 hectares, consisting of the Ganxi Forest Farm area and the Yangbaoshan Dumuhe area. The forest coverage rate is 91.06%. It is a model for forest vegetation restoration and protection in the southern karst area. There are more than 200 species of native tree species such as masson pine and fir as well as rare tree species such as yew and cedar in the park, which function as an ecological barrier and natural oxygen bar.
