About Former Residence of Huang Yanpei

Huang Yanpei's former residence is located at No. 218, Xinchuan Road, Chuansha New Town, Pudong New District, Shanghai. It covers an area of 733.2 square meters and a building area of 486 square meters. It is affiliated to the Propaganda Department of the Pudong New District Committee and is a social science celebrity museum. In 1990, the Chuansha County People's Government allocated funds to repair Huang Yanpei's former residence. In October 1991, the construction of Huang Yanpei's former residence was completed, and Chen Yun inscribed the name of the former residence. In May 1992, the Huang Yanpei Former Residence Management Office was established, and the former residence was officially opened to the public on May 27 of the same year. As of the end of 2019, one exhibition had been held and 12 educational activities had been carried out, with 160,000 visitors.
