About Normal University Night Market
Normal University Night Market is a government-standardized night market located on Wenxing Street, Nangang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. It is adjacent to the Jiangnan Campus of Harbin Normal University. The total length of the operating street is more than 400 meters, and there are more than 500 food stalls. Its predecessor was the Wenxing Street Night Market, which was spontaneously formed around 2000 due to the consumer demand of college students. In 2013, the Hexing Road Sub-district Office implemented standardized management. In 2014, an enterprise-oriented operation model was introduced to unify stall specifications and implement functional zoning. The average daily passenger flow during the summer peak season reaches 20,000. In the early days of the night market, conflicts arose due to road occupation.
