About Xiong Shihui's Former Residence

Xiong Shihui's former residence is located in Yazuilong Natural Village, Taohua 2nd Village, Wanbu Town, Anyi County, Jiangxi Province. It was built in 1946 and consists of the main building, side rooms and miscellaneous rooms, with a total area of 754.56 square meters. The building is the former residence of Xiong Shihui, the former second-level KMT army general. He once served as the Songhu garrison commander, chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Government, director of the nine northeastern provinces, and head of the military delegation visiting the United States. The former residence sits west to east, with mountains and rivers at its back, and facing the Changling Peak of Xishan Mountain. It adopts a combination of Chinese and Western construction techniques: the two-story exterior is actually a three-story structure.
