About 1927·Lu Xun and Uchiyama Memorial Bookstore

1927·Lu Xun and Neishan Memorial Bookstore, located at No. 2056 Sichuan North Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai, is a new urban cultural complex that was renovated and expanded from the former site of the historically protected building Neishan Bookstore. Its former site is a cultural relic protection unit in Shanghai, an outstanding historical building in Shanghai, and was selected into the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics in Shanghai. Uchiyama Bookstore was founded by Japanese friend Uchiyama Zenzo in 1917. It was an important cultural activity venue for Mr. Lu Xun in his later years and witnessed his profound friendship with Uchiyama Zenzo. In 2021, Hongkou District launched the "1927·Lu Xun and Neishan Memorial Bookstore" project. On November 26, 2022, it was reopened to the public after protective renovation.
