About Shanghai Grand Theatre

Shanghai Grand Theater is located at No. 300 Renmin Avenue, Huangpu District, Shanghai, adjacent to the Shanghai Museum to the south, Huangpi North Road to the west, People's Park and the Shanghai History Museum to the north, and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government located at the northern end of the central axis of People's Square to the east. The Shanghai Grand Theater is designed according to the shape of a classical Chinese architectural pavilion. The roof adopts a white arc shape with upturned sides and embraces the sky, which symbolizes the theory of a round sky and a round earth. It covers an area of approximately 21,000 square meters, has a total construction area of 70,000 square meters, a total building height of 40 meters, and a total of 10 floors. It is a cultural landmark building in Shanghai.
