About Jet Packs
The jetpack aircraft is an aerial rotating attraction in the "Tomorrowland" theme park of Shanghai Disneyland. Visitors can control their own height and experience the flying feeling of swooping and circling at high altitude. Its design may be inspired by Disney animated characters. The concept for the ride dates back to Walt Disney World's "Cosmic Launcher" attraction in 1956. Since then, similar facilities were launched or updated at Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris in 1971, 1983, and 1992 respectively. Shanghai Disneyland’s jetpack aircraft opened with the park in 2016 for tourists.
